Abstract Geometrical variation is one of the sources quality issues in a product. Spot welding an operation that impacts final geometrical sheet metal assembly considerably. Evaluating outcome assembly, considering existing between components, can be achieved using method influence coefficients (MICs), based on finite element (FEM). The sequence with which spot performed influences deformations assembly. Finding optimal results minimum deformation combinatorial problem experimentally and computationally expensive. Traditionally, optimization strategies have been to simulate spot-welded after has positioned inspection fixture. In this approach, calculation springback most time-consuming steps. paper, proposed where fixture bypassed during evaluation. show significant correlation weld relative displacements evaluation displacement makes each simulation less time-consuming, thereby, time reduced by up 30%, compared traditional approach.
